Our Mission

FPCH was established in 2003, dedicated to supporting the mission of the US Fish and Wildlife Service. We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.

FPCH's mission is "to encourage conservation of all natural resources through education and action in partnership with the US Fish and Wildlife Service".

We directly promote and support the objectives that support the Service's mission at US Fish and Wildlife Service Pendills Creek and Sullivan Creek National Fish Hatcheries.  For each dollar invested in the National Fisheries Program, $28 of economic returns are generated.

The founding members of FPCH were: Paula Badder, George Goetz, Pauline Rice, Carol Eccleston, Denice Friez, Samantha Small, and Neal and Marg Godby.  Articles of Incorporation were created in order to be registered with the State of Michigan as a non-profit organization.  Bylaws were then established to ensure the organization has structure.  A Memoradum of Understanding was established with the Service, ensuring both the Service and FPCH comply within the agreement of the partnership. Over the years, FPCH has developed a fostering partnership with the US FWS, focusing on educational outreach to the public.

We strive to maintain a working relationship with the Service, in efforts to help the Pendills Creek/Sullivan Creek complex as best we can.

Over the years, our group has helped establish an Annual Kids Fishing Day (2016 denoted the 8th annual event), established various amenities at the public beach access site, purchased a truck topper for the Service to assist with lake trout egg deliveries, hosted numerous special events, and assist with educational outreach.

FPCH is a member of the National Fisheries Friends Partnership.

Our membership numbers are growing.  Yet we're in constant need of help; consider joining FPCH and help promote our cause!
